Installation

* If the channel doesn't show up right away, on your Roku, go into "Options" and click "System Update"

Configure

  • Hold down the arrow to scroll to the bottom, press on "Settings"
  • Press "Set Username" and enter your ballstreams username

  • Press "Change Preferred Bitrate" to choose which feed the Roku will play. Choose "Low & High" for the Roku to pick a stream based on your internet connection (This works hand in hand with the "Streaming Strategy" settings), Choose "High Only" to play the HD streams, regardless of your internet speed (This may cause buffering if your network cannot handle the bitrate), or choose "Low Only" to always play the SD (low quality) feed.

Google Chromecast

Help with Chromecast: Help Center Thread

Installation

Playback

Make sure you are using Google Chrome as your browser, and that the Google Cast extension is installed!

  • If your chromecast is working, you will see a Start Casting stream button on the stream page, like above. Press it. (This sometimes bugs out because Chromecast is still in Beta. Refresh the page if you are positive it's set up properly and you still don't see the Start Casting Stream button.)
  • On the top right of your Browser, a little window will pop up, it looks like the one aboe here. Press on the Chromecast in the list that you'd like to Cast to.
  • The stream will now be cast to your Chromecast. You can stop the stream on your PC and move over to the couch! Please keep in mind, the performance of your Chromecast will all depend on how good of a WiFi signal it is getting. If your stream is lagging, it's most likely because the WiFi signal isn't strong enough.
